Hello, everyone, I am from China, and two years ago about this time, I walked in this church. I didn't know anything about Christianity at that time. When I met the church people, I felt that you are so peaceful and kind, singing hymns together, giving selflessly to the Lord, caring for others, and helping others without asking for anything in return. My heart is very shocked but very envious of you. This makes my understanding of the church in China is very different, so I am eager to be as same as you, brother and sister, I do hope that my heart has a home, not like before in order to live.
To live, yes, let my heart have a home, that is to believe in Jesus Christ. Finally on June 24th last year when Ken and Ada told me the good news about Jesus, I knew I was a sinner and Jesus was crucified for my sin. Bearing my sin and wishing to give me eternal life, I immediately asked Jesus to forgive my sin and accept the Jesus as my Saviour and my Lord of my life. I was so excited that I was finally saved!
But it was just a Christian not been baptized, so I wish to be baptised last year, but in Richard's "selection” , I’m sorry using the word “selection “ here. I understand that Richard is a gatekeeper, and thank him for that, I was not baptized successfully.
After a year of learning, I realised that believing and relying on the Lord Jesus from my heart is a true Christian. Today, I’m willing to testify the wonderful work of Jesus Christ in me publicly, thank you Lord.

In the past, I spent a lot of time, only knowing how to make more money, working hard all day without knowing how to think, only knowing about the child’s study and health, life has no direction and goals. Until one day seven years ago, I read a book that changed my life.
Carl Witt’s Education: this book has a detail, that is, Carl is reading the Bible story to his newly born son, Karl Jr., every night so that Karl can sleep quietly. Since then, I really want to know what kind of book the Bible is, I think God used the
magical book of the Bible to bring me here step by step.

Since entering the church in April last year, I feel like I’m back to home that’s full of warmth, comfort and love. Moreover, I come to know who Jesus is. Actually Jesus is God, He came to this world from heaven and lived a perfect life. He was crucified for our sins, saved us, and rose from the dead on the third day. I admit I’m a sinner, willing to ask Jesus to forgive my sins, to become my Saviour and my Lord , and give me eternal life.

After I believe in Jesus, I am no longer inferior, mean, and ignorant; God changed my character, and changed me from an atheist to a Christian. Now, I say goodbye to the past, my life has direction and hope, because I know that Jesus loves me always.

Morning brothers and sisters, my name is Yan from China, Sichuan, the hometown of giant pandas~ Today I want to share with you my testimony.
I used to be a very strong, irritable person, whether at work or at home, I am very strong. I live in a densely populated city with very congested cars. I work only 4 kilometres away from home, but took 40 minutes to drive because of the traffic jam. During these 40 minutes, I would never allow anyone to overtake my car, or change lanes and cut in line, and I would even try to honk my horn and shout abuse at others. I was such a bully before I believed in the Lord.
My husband brought me into this church in September 2017, and it was the first time in my life to walk in a church. Six months later Ada shared the good news about Jesus, I believe that Jesus is God, he came from heaven to this world, he lived a perfect life, he died on the cross, paid our sins , and rose from the dead. Now he is in heaven and has freely given us the gift of eternal life.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
I am willing to ask Jesus to forgive my sins and to accept Jesus as my Saviour and my Lord to master my life. In these two years of faith I have found peace and joy in my heart. Last October when I was traveling back to China, thousands of cars were stuck on the highway for five hours. I not only did not honk or curse, I also take the initiative to let others go first. I can't believe how I did it.
I think the Lord Jesus is in my heart. I thank the Lord for changing me.
"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. " (Psalms 119 : 105 ). I believe that under the guidance of the lord, I will be a good wife, a good mother.

Good morning church! My name is Yani, I came from southern China and have been in New Zealand for more than 15 years. I grew up in an atheistic education system which I was taught to respect all religions yet be sceptical about them, and not to worship and believe in any God wholeheartedly.
Nevertheless, I have come to know Jesus Christ about eight years ago when my long-depressed relationship was ended, and I was pregnant with our second child. At the time I only could see my life failures and I felt abandoned with no hope even though I was blessed with the full support from my mother and my daughter who are both here in church today. “The LORD is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble, And He knows those who take refuge in Him.” Nahum 1:7.
I was also blessed to have had neighbours who are faithful in the LORD and shared the Gospel with me. And I am thankful to be encouraged by lots of sisters and brothers from church that have shared their testimonies with me and led me to my faith.
Through reading the scriptures in the Bible, I have come to know more about Jesus Christ and God’s words which I believe in 2Corinthian 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” I felt the unconditional and everlasting love from Jesus Christ. I felt finally at peace and have lived such an abundant life not only throughout my entire pregnancy, but also continues to grow in Christ as I trust in Him which is reminded in Proverbs 3: 5-6 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”
In time of hardships I learn to always hold tight to God’s words.
It has been a grateful eight years journey with the LORD, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. I have experienced his love and grace every day. My life and my whole being have been transformed. Romans 10:9 “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
There are countless blessings, yet the most significant one was trusting in God and got married two years ago to the kindest man who loves not only me but also my children. I believe in Jeremiah 29:11-13 “‘For I know the plans I have for you.’” Says the LORD. ‘They are plans for Good and not for disaster, to give a Future and a Hope. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.’”
As I am stepping out in faith through today’s baptism, I pray that I will continue to “grow in grace and in knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ". “For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.” Psalm 100:5
